ADDITIONAL PARTS WILL BE SHIPPED TO ALL DEALERS WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE. OWNER NOTIFICATION WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 17TH, 1997 STARTING IN THE STATES LISTED.

General Motors has decided that certain 1997 Chevrolet Venture, Oldsmobile Silhouette and Pontiac Trans Sport model vehicles may exhibit a condition in which the windshield wiper motor park stop tab may bend. This condition may cause the windshield wiper blades to stop on the glass, rather than at the base of the windshield, when the wiper switch is turned off.

To prevent the Possibility of this condition occurring, dealers will install a reinforcement kit and new wiper motor crank arm.
