Oil Pump Assembly

1. Remove pump seal ring and check groove for damage.

2. Remove pump cover bolts and separate pump cover from pump body.

3. Remove stator shaft thrust washer and check for damage.

4. To prevent pump from turning while removing pressure regulator valve, position a bolt or screwdriver through pump hole.

5. Using a suitable screwdriver, push T.V. boost bushing inward and re move snap ring.

6. Release valve spring tension slowly and remove valve train.

7. Check T.V. boost valve and bushing for damage.

8. Check reverse boost valve and bushing for damage.

9. Check T.V. and reverse boost bushings for free operation in pump cover bore.

10. Check spring and pressure regulator valve for damage.

11. Check pressure regulator valve for free operation in pump cover bore.

12. Using a suitable screwdriver, push converter clutch stop valve inward and remove snap ring.

13. Release valve spring tension slowly and remove stop and converter clutch valves.

14. Check valves for free operation in pump cover bore.

15. Check spring for damage.

16. Using a suitable punch, remove pressure relief spring retaining sleeve.

17. Remove pressure relief spring and ball. Check components for damage.

18. Reverse procedure to install components into pump assembly.
