1. Control valve assembly and spacer plate.a. 2-3 throttle valve or shift valve stuck in downshift position.
b. Valve body gaskets damaged, leaking or improperly installed.
c. Reverse/3rd check ball not seating, damaged or missing.
2. Porosity in case channels.
3. Center support.
a. Clutch feed passages clogged or not drilled through.
b. Oil seal rings damaged.
4. Direct clutch.
a. Inner oil seal ring damaged or missing on piston.
b. Center oil seal ring damaged or missing on clutch hub.
c. Backing plate snap ring out of groove.
d. Direct clutch plates damaged or missing.
e. Clutch piston and/or housing damaged or missing.
f. Release spring guide mislocated, preventing piston check ball from seating.
g. Check ball and/or retainer damaged or missing.
5. Intermediate servo assembly (third clutch accumulator oil passages).
a. Servo to case oil seal ring damaged or missing.
b. Bleed orifice cup plug missing from intermediate servo pocket in case.
c. Exhaust hole in case between servo piston seal rings clogged or undrilled.
d. Intermediate servo and/or capsule damaged or missing.
