Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

1982 OMEGA
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove radio knobs.
3. Pull out glove box switches and disconnect the wiring connectors.
4. Remove two screws securing glove box stop arm to door.
5. Remove two screws from instrument panel molding and pull molding rearward to remove. Note that the molding is retained by five clips.
6. Remove ashtray assembly, then the lamp and socket assembly from lamp housing.
7. Pull radio and ash tray retainer out from panel and disconnect all electrical connections.
8. Remove radio from panel.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
