125C Auto Transaxle
1. Lay control valve pump assembly on bench with machined face up and line boost valve at the top, see image.
2. Check line boost valve operation. If replacement is necessary, proceed as follows:
a. Grind a taper on one end of a 49 drill.
b. Lightly tap tapered end of drill into pin and pull out.
c. Remove line boost valve and plug by pushing valve out of top of housing.
3. Check throttle valve operation by moving valve against the spring. If removal is necessary, proceed as follows:
a. Remove roll pin holding the T.V. plunger bushing.
b. Remove the T.V. plunger, plunger bushing and throttle valve spring.
c. Remove throttle valve roll pin using a 49 drill tapered on one end.
d. Remove the throttle valve.
4. Remove valve retaining ring and valve bore isolator plug, if equipped.
5. Remove the roll pin retaining the T.V. boost valve and pressure regulator valve assemblies. Remove the T.V. boost valve bushing, boost valve, reverse boost valve, pressure regulator valve spring, pressure regulator isolator spring if equipped and pressure regulator valve, see image.
6. Remove roll pin retaining the shift T.V. valve. Remove bore plug, spring and shift TV. valve. Cover bore during roll pin removal. Parts are spring loaded and will fly out.
7. Remove spring retaining sleeve from next bore down, see first image. Remove pressure relief spring and check ball, see image above step 1. Cover bore during sleeve removal. Parts are spring loaded and will fly out.
8. Remove roll pin retaining 1-2 accumulator valve assembly. Remove valve bore plug, accumulator valve bushing, valve and spring, see image above step 1.
9. Remove roll pin retaining 2-3 throttle and shift valve assembly. Remove 2-3 throttle valve bushing, spring and valve. Remove 2-3 shift valve.
10. Remove roll pin retaining 1-2 throttle and shift valve assembly. Remove 1-2 throttle valve bushing, valve spring and valve. Remove 1-2 shift valve.
11. Remove the spring retaining sleeve from the valve bore in the lower left corner. Cover bore during sleeve removal. Parts are spring loaded and will fly out.
12. Remove 3-2 control spring and valve.
13. Remove the lo blowoff plug using a 1/4 inch punch, then pull out and discard valve spring, spring plug and lo blow-off ball, see image above step 1 and image above step 13. The lo blow-off valve assembly must be removed and replaced if control valve pump body is washed in solvent.
14. If service on pump assembly is necessary, proceed as follows:
a. Remove roll pin from pump priming spring bore. Cover bore during roll pin removal. Parts are spring loaded and may fly out.
b. Remove priming spring cup plug and priming spring.
c. Remove the auxiliary valve body cover retaining screw, cover, gasket and the auxiliary valve body.
d. Remove the oil pump slide, rotor, (7) seven vanes and (2) two vane rings.
