Cruise Control Vacuum Solenoid: Description and Operation

The resume solenoid valve is an electrically operated switch. When the solenoid is engaged, vacuum is allowed to pass through it to the transducer. No vacuum is allowed to pass through the solenoid when disengaged. A diode is used across the solenoid terminals for noise suppression.
