Valve Clearance: Adjustments

These engines are equipped with hydraulic valve lifters which do not normally require periodic adjustment. However, if cylinder head or valve train requires service and/or lifter noise is excessive, adjust valves as outlined in procedure below.

A nylon retainer is used to retain the rocker arms to the rocker shaft on these engines. No provision for adjustment is provided.
