Ignition Switch

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On models with regular steering column, turn ignition lock to ``Off-Unlock'' position. On models with tilt and telescope steering column, turn ignition lock to ``Accessory'' position.
3. Remove cover attaching bolts, loosen toe pan clamp bolts and remove trim cap from lower part of panel.
4. Remove bracket retaining nuts and lower steering column to the seat.
5. Disconnect and remove switch.
6. On models equipped with column mounted dimmer switch, remove two switch attaching screws, then remove switch and disconnect wire connector.
7. Be sure that lock is in same position as when switch was removed then install switch onto actuator and column.
8. Connect wiring and reinstall column. On models with column mounted dimmer switch, install and adjust dimmer switch as described under ``Column Mounted Dimmer Switch.''
