Valve Body Replace

1. Drain transmission fluid and remove oil pan and screen.

2. Remove screw and disconnect T.V. cable from transmission.

3. Remove throttle lever and bracket assembly, then disconnect converter clutch wiring connections.

4. Remove oil transfer pipes and hold down brackets.

5. Support valve body and remove retaining bolts. It may be necessary to disconnect manual valve before removing valve body.

6. Remove valve body, noting location of check ball. If accumulator housing is removed, support spacer plate during removal and note location of check balls in spacer plate and accumulator housing.

7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque valve body retaining bolts to 10 ft lbs. Intermediate band anchor pin must locate on intermediate band, or damage to transmission may result.
