AIR CHECKING CLUTCHES




When air is applied, watch for leaks at the gasket between the sprocket support and the case cover.

Put oil at mating surfaces, and watch for bubbles. If excessive leakage appears, carefully press sprocket support out of case cover and re-assemble, using two gaskets.

Note
Check mating surfaces for high spots, using a stone, or large file.

Excessive leakage may result in slipping and burned clutches.
