Insufficient Heating


SLOW WARMING IN VEHICLE

1. Incorrect heater vent cable and/or vacuum control operation.
2. Low coolant level.
3. Check cable/vacuum controls and blower operation.

ENGINE OR EXHAUST FUMES IN VEHICLE

1. Missing or damaged engine compartment-to-plenum seal.
2. Incorrect air inlet-to-duct assembly and cowl sealing.
3. Air leaks.

COLD DRAFTS ON VEHICLE FLOOR

1. Incorrect heater vent cable and/or vacuum control operation.
2. Incorrect heater operation.
3. Incorrect blower motor operation.
4. Incorrect floor mat positioning.

INSUFFICIENT HEAT TO REAR SEAT

1. Obstructions, wrinkled or torn insulator material between front seat and floor.
2. Incorrect blower control operation.

LOW ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL/DROP IN HEATER AIR TEMPERATURE AT ALL SPEEDS

1. Radiator and/or cooling system leakage.
2. Radiator and/or cooling system air lock.

FAILURE OF ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM TO WARM

1. Malfunctioning or damaged engine thermostat.
2. Incorrect engine coolant level.

FOREIGN MATERIAL OBSTRUCTING WATER FLOW THROUGH HEATER

1. Remove foreign material if possible. Clean heater core.
2. Replace heater core if material cannot be removed.

TEMPERATURE DOOR (VALVE) INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED/AIR DOORS

1. Adjust cable and/or door operation.
2. Check air control/defrost control operation.
