TO ALL OLDSMOBILE DEALERS:

The owner letter for Campaign 83-E-02 (Restricted Catalytic Converter, 1983 5.0L Engines) may have been inadvertently sent to some owners of 1983 Hurst Oldsmobiles.

1983 Hurst Oldsmobiles are not involved and will not require the campaign modification. The attached letter is being mailed to owners of 1983 Hurst Oldsmobiles who were notified of the campaign. This letter advises those owners that their vehicles are not involved.
Dear 1983 Hurst Oldsmobile Owner:

You may have recently received notification that your 1983 Hurst Oldsmobile requires a modification to prevent the possibility of a restricted catalytic converter. This notification was in error. The 1983 Hurst Oldsmobile uses a different type of catalytic converter which prevents the condition described in the notification letter from occurring.
