Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

When installing radio, be sure to adjust antenna trimmer for peak performance.




88, 98 & CUSTOM CRUISER
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove radio knobs, cigar lighter and right hand trim panel cover.
3. Remove radio mounting plate attaching screws and nuts and the plate.
4. Remove ashtray, then the lefthand sound absorber, if equipped.
5. Remove lower center air duct attaching screw and the duct.
6. Remove radio support bracket attaching nut.
7. Pull radio rearward, then disconnect antenna lead and electrical connectors and remove radio assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
