Models Equipped With Remote Coil Distributor


Cavalier, Cimarron, FIRENZA, 2000, Sunbird & Skyhawk Exc. 1982-86 FIRENZA, Skyhawk, Sunbird & 2000 with 1.8L OHC Engine

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and remove air cleaner.
2. Release distributor cap latches, then remove distributor cap and position aside.
3. Disconnect AIR pipe to exhaust manifold hose at AIR Management valve.
4. Remove rear engine lift bracket bolt and nut from stud, then position assembly aside.
5. Mark relationship of rotor to distributor housing and distributor housing to block.
6. Remove distributor hold-down clamp, then remove distributor from engine.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Check to ensure that marks made during removal align after distributor is installed.
