Some 1986 and 1987 Calais and some 1986 Delta 88's equipped with a 3.0L MFI engine (VIN Code L) may experience one or more of the following conditions:

^ Poor cold driveability (tip-in sags, hesitations, rough idle).

^ Will not stay running on the initial start when the engine is cold (with proper fuel pressure and no leak down).

^ Engine intermittently will not stay running on decel or during parking lot maneuvers, under closed throttle conditions.

If any of these conditions we experienced on a vehicle when the basic engine, controls, and systems are performing properly, and the vehicles cannot be repaired by using currently published service and diagnostic procedures, it may be necessary to install a new service PROM.
