Compressor/Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect electrical connector from ELC height sensor and ground connector terminal 3 (yellow wire) with a suitable fused jumper wire. If compressor does not run, proceed to step 2. If compressor runs, reconnect height sensor electrical connector and perform ``Actuator Arm Test.''
2. Reconnect height sensor electrical connector, then disconnect electrical connector from ELC relay and measure voltage between connector terminal B (orange wire) and ground. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, proceed to step 3. If no voltage is indicated, check circuit 40 (orange wire) and CTSY fuse for an open and repair as necessary.
3. Measure voltage between ELC relay relay connector terminal A (orange wire) and ground. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, proceed to step 4. If no voltage is indicated, locate and repair open in circuit 40 (orange wire).
4. Connect a suitable fused jumper wire between ELC relay connector terminals A (orange wire) and D (dark green wire). If compressor does not run, proceed to step 5. If compressor runs, check circuit 321 (yellow wire) for an open. If circuit is satisfactory, replace ELC relay.
5. Measure voltage between terminal D (dark green wire) and ground. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, proceed to step 6. If no voltage is indicated, locate and repair open in circuit 322 (dark green wire).
6. Inspect black wire and connector G405 for an open and repair as necessary. If wire and connector are satisfactory, repair or replace compressor as needed.
