Gasket Sealed Oil Pans

1. Raise and support vehicle, then place a suitable container under transaxle oil pan.

2. Remove front and side oil pan attaching bolts, then loosen rear oil pan attaching bolts approximately 4 turns.

3. Pry oil pan from case using a suitable tool, and allow fluid to drain.

4. Remove remaining oil pan attaching bolts, then the screen filter and O-ring.

5. Inspect oil pan and screen for foreign material and clean as necessary, then clean oil pan and screen in a suitable solvent and blow dry. Ensure case and oil pan flanges are free of oil film as leakage may result.

6. Apply a suitable lubricant to new O-ring, then install new filter O-ring and screen. Install and tighten attaching bolts.

7. Install oil pan with new gasket, then insert and tighten attaching bolts.

8. Fill transaxle to capacity using Dexron II type transmission fluid.
