REMOVAL:

1. Gain access to the EBCM. It may be located in one of three places:
^ In the passenger compartment, behind the right close-out panel (Figure 1).
^ In the passenger compartment, at the left close-out panel (Figure 2).
^ In the trunk, at the left wheel well (Figure 3).
2. Depress the electrical connector locking plate and pivot the wiring harness connector away from the EBCM.
3. Unhook the end of the wiring harness connector from the pin on the EBCM.
4. Inspect the EBCM and wiring harness connectors for damage to terminals. Make any necessary repairs.


INSTALLATION:

1. Inspect the EBCM and wiring harness connectors for damage to terminals. Make any necessary repairs.
2. Install the EBCM in these steps:
A. Hook the end of the wiring harness connector around the pin on the EBCM.
B. Pivot the wiring harness connector into contact with the EBCM connector until it latches against the locking plate.
C. Check the connector fit by turning the ignition switch to the "run" position. The "ANTILOCK" lamp should turn OFF within 30 seconds.
D. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.
E. Attach the EBCM to its mounting.
