SUBJECT: 3rd Clutch Plate Change




In mid 1985, many THM 440T4 transaxles changed to single sided 3rd clutch plates. At the start of 1986 production, all THM 440T4 transaxles were built with single sided 3rd clutch plates.

It is recommended to use the single sided clutch plates on any year/model when replacing the 3rd clutch plates. Part number for the one-sided 3rd clutch plate kit is 8646938.
