CHANGES FOR 1988

MANUAL SHAFT:




The 1988 THM 440-T4 (LIT60) has a manual shaft that is .275" (7 mm) longer than the previous models. (See Figure 1) It is also found on the 1987 7ADH, and 7AHH Models.

REVERSE REACTION DRUM:




Beginning in 1987, the THM 440 T4 (4T60) uses a reverse reaction drum that is chamfered on both ends of the drum. (See Figure 2)

3RD CLUTCH WAVE PLATE:




In 1988, some THM 440-T4 (4T60) transmissions use a waved steel against the 3rd clutch piston instead of a flat steel. (See Figure 3)
