Compressor Replacement

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge refrigerant.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors from front and rear of compressor.
4. Remove bolt securing refrigerant lines to compressor, disconnect lines, then plug lines and open compressor ports.
5. Loosen upper front compressor mounting bolt, front lower belt tensioner bolt and rear bracket bolt, then remove drive belt.
6. Disconnect AIR hose and check valve from AIR pipe and remove 3 compressor mounting bolts and rear bracket spacers.
7. Remove compressor by sliding toward starter and tilting down.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Tension belt using 1/2 inch drive ratchet in opening provided in bracket to prevent damaging compressor housing.
