Detent Downshift Control
The 3-2 downshift control valve regulates timing of the 3-2 detent downshift by requiring line pressure of at least 110 psi before allowing T.V. pressure to enter the 3-2 downshift passage. When the minimum line pressure has been reached, pressure is applied to the passage and the combination of T.V. pressure and downshift pressure is applied to the 2-3 shift valve. This pressure opposes
governor pressure applied to the opposite side of the shift valve to downshift the transmission.
