Rear Sun Gear & Input Drum

1. If sun gear and input drum were installed to help seat Lo and reverse clutch housing, remove.

2. Remove snap ring, then disconnect rear sun gear from input drum.

3. Inspect rear sun gear for worn, cracked, or damaged splines, chipped cracked or damaged gear teeth, plugged lubrication passages, and bushing for scoring, wear or damage.

4. Inspect input drum for cracks, damage or worn splines.

5. Inspect thrust washer for scoring or damaged tangs.

6. Install rear sun gear onto input drum, then the snap ring.

7. Install tanged thrust washer onto input drum, using Transjel to retain washer.

8. Install rear sun gear and input drum assembly into case.
