Fluid Pressure Test






1. Check transmission fluid level. Correct if necessary.

2. Check throttle valve cable. Adjust if necessary.

3. Check manual linkage. Adjust if necessary.

4. Check engine tune up. If engine performance indicates that an engine tune up is required, it should be performed before road testing is completed or transmission correction is attempted. Poor engine performance can cause rough shifting or other malfunctions.

5. Install oil pressure gauge to transmission and tachometer to engine.

6. With engine at specified RPM and transmission in specified range, transmission fluid pressures should be as shown. Brakes must be applied at all times. Combined total operating time when checking transmission in R, D and intermediate range must not exceed two minutes.
