Vehicle Access Code
All RLC transmitters have a random 32-bit Vehicle Access Code (VAC) stored in a programmable read only memory (PROM). The VAC cannot be altered. The 32-bit VAC allows for over 4.3 billion different code variations. Based on the time required to transmit the VAC to the receiver module and the number of code variations, it would take over 14 years to sequentially "break" the VAC. This is sufficient time to deter unauthorized entry by code breaking.
