Defect & Vehicles Involved

DEFECT INVOLVED

General Motors has decided that certain 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme model vehicles equipped with the 2.3L engine and California emissions (RPO NB2) may have an I.D.I. (Integrated Direct Ignition) coil housing that may crack. This may cause the engine to miss and run rough.

To prevent these conditions from occurring, retailers are to replace the I.D.I coil housing on affected vehicles.

VEHICLES INVOLVED

VIN Breakpoints:

Involved are 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme models vehicles equipped with the 2.3L (RPO LD2) VIN D engine and California Emissions (RPO NB2), within the VIN breakpoints as shown in the accompanying image.

Not all vehicles within the breakpoints shown in the accompanying image are involved.

Involved vehicles have been identified by Vehicle Identification Number Listings. Computer listings contain the complete Vehicle Identification Number, owner name and address data, and are furnished to involved retailers with the campaign bulletin. Owner name and address data furnished will enable retailers to follow-up with owners involved in this campaign.

These listings may contain owner name and addresses obtained from State Motor Vehicle Registration Records. The use of such motor vehicle registration data for any other purpose is a violation of law in several states. Accordingly, you are urged to limit the use of this listing to the follow-up necessary to complete this campaign. Any retailer not receiving a computer listing with the campaign bulletin has no involved vehicles currently assigned.
