Seats (Front) - Cannot Be Adjusted High Enough

CONDITION: The front seats may not have enough upward travel.

CORRECTION:
1. Obtain Kit, Part Number 12520796 which is currently available from GMSPO.
2. Remove the four (4) hexhead bolts attaching the seat frame to the adjuster. On vehicles with the 6- way power seat option, the adjuster must be in the full "up" position to remove these bolts.
3. Insert the spacer between the seat frame and adjuster at all four bolt locations (see illustration).
4. Coat threads of the new replacement bolts with thread sealant/adhesive, GM Part No. 12345382, and attach the seat frame to the adjuster.
5. Torque the attaching bolts to 22-28 N-m (17 lbs.ft.).
