Air Delivery & Temperature Controls

Check the operation of the air valves using the illustrated chart. Put Fan Switch in HI to give a strong flow of air (engine warm and running at idle).

NOTE: The letters in the chart correspond to the valve positions shown on the Air Delivery wiring diagram.

- If the test indicates only one valve is not operating correctly, make the following checks.

- Air valve and vacuum actuator move freely.

- Vacuum hose is connected and not pinched.

- Vacuum is present when valve is moved from rest position. If vacuum is not present, replace the A/C Mode Selector.

- If none of the valves operate, check for vacuum at the Violet hose to the Heater And A/C Control Assembly.
