C: Air Valve Test

1. Disconnect the ECC Programmer vacuum hose connector. Using a hand vacuum pump, apply 15 in. Hg of vacuum to each of the actuators while observing the actuator linkage for movement and binding.

- If an actuator holds vacuum but doesn't move, check actuator linkage and mode valve door for binding.

- If an actuator line does not hold vacuum, check vacuum hose for leaks, kinks and restrictions. If hoses are OK, replace actuator.

- If all actuators operate properly without any binding, check the PPL hose for vacuum while the engine is running. If the PPL hose is good, replace the ECC Programmer.
