- INSTALL HOOK AND LOOP FASTENER

CONDITION:
The cup holder in the Bravada center console may rattle while driving over bumps. The rattle may occur when the holder is in either the closed or open position and empty.

CAUSE:
Cup holder is loose in the console.

CORRECTION:
Using the following procedure, place a 10 mm x 10 mm (3/8" X 3/8") piece of the "loophalf" (soft fuzzy material) of a hook and loop fastening system (3M Scotchmate (Part # 06480) or equivalent) to the bottom center of the cup holder.
Note:
Velcro brand hook and loop fastener (Velcro style # 338 Black-010) is also available in packages of ten 16 mm (5/8") pre-cut pieces from local hardware stores and sewing centers throughout the country.





Service Procedure:
(See the illustration.)
1. Prepare a piece of loop material in the dimensions described above. Remove the protective backing on the adhesive and attach the material to a small piece of wire such as an open ended paper clip.
2. Open the cup holder 1/2 way and grasp the edge of the holder and hold it upward to provide clearance for the hook and loop fastener piece.
3. Insert the loop fastener material, using the wire to attach it to the bottom of the cup holder (soft side facing down).
4. Press the cup holder down to cause the hook and loop fastener to adhere to the bottom surface of the holder.
