Interior Lamps
DOOR COURTESY, INSIDE MIRROR COURTESY, I/P COURTESY, REAR COURTESY/READING AND ROOF RAIL COURTESY LAMPS
Voltage is applied through Fuse 1 at all times to the Door Courtesy Lamps, Inside Mirror Courtesy Lamps, I/P Courtesy Lamps, Rear Courtesy/Reading Lamps and to the Roof Rail Courtesy Lamps. The Door Courtesy, Inside Mirror Courtesy/Reading, I/P Courtesy and the Roof Rail Courtesy Lamps will light whenever a door is opened or whenever the I/P Dimmer Courtesy Switch is turned to "ON." The Rear Courtesy/Reading Lamps will light whenever the Tailgate is opened. The Inside Mirror Courtesy/Reading Lamps, the Rear Courtesy/Reading Lamps and the Roof Rail Courtesy Lamps also have a separate switch in the circuit. When turned to "ON," this switch allows for individual operation of these Lamps.
HEADLIGHT SWITCH ILLUMINATION LAMP AND ELECTRONIC COMPASS ILLUMINATION LAMP
Whenever the Ignition Switch is turned to "RUN," "BULB TEST" or "START," voltage is applied through Fuse 17 to the Headlight Switch Illumination Lamp and to the Electronic Compass Illumination Lamp. Each Lamp remains lit until the Ignition Switch is turned to "OFF."
LH/RH VANITY MIRROR AND UNDERHOOD LAMP
Voltage is applied through Fuse 1 at all times to the LH and RH Vanity Mirror Lamps and to the Underhood Lamp. The LH and RH Vanity Mirror Lamps will light whenever the Visor is pulled down and the cover is opened. The Underhood Lamp will light whenever the hood is opened.
CIGAR LIGHTER, I/P COMPARTMENT AND LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP
Voltage is applied through Fuse 2 at all times to the Cigar Lighter, I/P Compartment Lamp and to the Luggage Compartment Lamp. The Cigar Lighter has a heating element that, when pushed in, completes the circuit and begins to heat up. When the element is sufficiently heated, the Cigar Lighter opens the circuit. The I/P Compartment Lamp will light whenever the I/P Compartment is opened. The Luggage Compartment Lamp will light whenever the Trunk Lid is opened.
