Test D: Fuel Gage Is Inaccurate

Disconnect the Fuel Gage Sender connector C409 and connect one red lead of tester J33431 to the PPL (30) wire and the other to ground. Turn the Ignition Switch to RUN. Set the resistance dials of the tester to 0 ohms (E) then 90 ohms (F). (Fuel Gage dows not respond instantaneously due to anti-slosh device.)

^ If the gage responds correctly, replace the Fuel Gage Sender and its wires.
^ If the gage does not respond properly, check PPL (30) wire to the Instrument Cluster for faulty wiring. If OK, replace the Instrument Cluster.
