Troubleshooting Hints

Try the following checks before performing other diagnosis.

1. If one Headlight does not light, check the bulb, connections, and wires to the Headlight.
2. If Hi Beams do not light, but the BRIGHT indicator lights, check the LT GRN (11) wire for an open.
3. If Headlights on one side are dimly lit, check the ground on that side.
4. Check GAGES Fuse by operating the Rear Defogger and observing the Indicator.
5. Check TAIL Fuse by operating the Park Lights.
6. Check the FAN/ALT Fuse by visual inspection.
7. If the BRAKE Indicator is lit with the Ignition Switch in RUN and the Park Brake released, see BRAKE WARNING SYSTEM circuit.
8. If the Night Mode of the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Module is activated in bright light, check that the Photoresistor is not obstructed (by dirt or lint, for example).
