Test N: Tachometer Test

1. Disconnect connector to the Computer Controlled Coil Ignition (CCCI) Module.
2. Plug the J-33431 I/P Tester into a wall outlet.
3. Connect the J-33431-10 harness adapter to the I/P Tester.
4. Connect the black lead of the J-33431-10 adapter to ground and connect the red lead to CCCI Module connector terminal E (WHT).
5. Set the Tester to 54 mph, 60Hz and the Power Switch to ON.
6. Turn the Ignition Switch to RUN.
^ If the Tachometer shows 1350 rpm, replace the CCCI Module.
^ If the Tachometer does not operate, check WHT (121) wire for an open or short to ground. If OK, check that all I/P Cluster connections are clean and tight. If OK, replace Instrument Cluster.
