Courtesy Lamp: Testing and Inspection

1. If vehicle is equipped with ILLUMINATED ENTRY, refer to that section for diagnosis.
2. If Courtesy Lights and Luggage Compartment Light do not light, check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 15.
3. If only one Interior Light does not operate, check bulb, socket and related wiring.
4. If only one door does not operate the Interior Lights, check suspect Door Lock/Latch Assembly and related wiring for an open (see wiring diagram).
5. If Interior Lights light when a door is opened, but not when Head/Park Lights Switch is operated, check WHT (156) wire, BLK (152) wire, and Panel/Interior Light Control Switch for an open.
6. If a Cigar Lighter does not operate, check for corrosion or element damage. Check for voltage at socket with a test lamp. If test lamp lights, replace Cigar Lighter, if not, check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 11.
7. If Interior Lights do not turn off, check for a closed Lock/Door Latch Assembly, Panel/Interior Light Control Switch or WHT (156) wire shorted to ground.
