Tachometer

As the field in the primary coil of the Ignition Coil (VIN D) or Computer Controlled Coil Ignition (CCCI) Module rises and collapses, as AC signal is produced. This signal is sent through CKT 121 to the Tach Signal Filter and Tachometer (VIN D) or directly to the Tachometer (VIN L). For VIN D engines, the Tach Signal Filter eliminates high frequency noise that may be present in the AC signal from the Ignition Coil. The Tachometer converts the AC signal from the Tach Signal Filter (VIN D) or CCCI Module (VIN L) to engine speed.
