Marker Lamp: Description and Operation
Voltage is applied at all times through the TAIL Fuse to the Headlamp Switch and, if equipped, to the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), Module through CKT 240. With the Headlamp Switch in "PARK" or "HEAD" or with low light conditions if DRL equipped, voltage is applied to CKT 9. Current flows through CKT 9, to all Park, Marker, Tail and License Lamps turning them "ON." The only lamps that see a current from CKT 9 and do not turn "ON" are the turn filaments in the Park/Turn Lamps. They do not turn "ON" because the voltage drop across the Front Side Marker Lamps is much higher than that across the Turn Lamp Filaments.
