Input Test: BI01 (Panel Light Switch)

Panel Light Switch Wiring:

PROPER BI01 DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAYS

- HI is displayed with Panel Light Switch off.

- LO is displayed with Panel Light Switch In extreme max up position.


TESTS FOR IMPROPER DISPLAYS

BI01 displays HI with Panel Light Switch in INTERIOR (extreme max up) position.

1. Remove Left Switch Assembly and connect harness connector terminals B3 and B4 together with a fused jumper.
^ If display reads HI, go to step 2.
^ If display reads LO, replace Left Switch Assembly.

2. Connect a fused jumper between Left Switch Assembly connector terminal B3 and ground.
^ If display reads HI, go to step 3.
^ If display reads LO, check/repair BLK/PNK (736) wire for an open.

3. Connect a fused jumper to ground and back-probe Body Computer Module (BCM) connector terminal 1D15.
^ If display reads HI and the terminal contact is good, replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
^ If display reads LO, check/repair BRN/WHT (685) wire for an open.

BI01 displays LO with Panel Light Switch off (not in max up position)

This condition will also set code B 123.
