Interior Lamps Dimming
CIRCUIT OPERATIONBattery voltage is applied at all times through the TAIL Fuse to the Light Switch. When the Light Switch is in PARK or HEAD and the Dimmer Switch is in HI, battery voltage is applied to all the Instrument Panel Lights. As the Dimmer Switch is moved toward LO, less voltage is applied to the Instrument Panel Lights and they dim.
In vehicles equipped with T61, battery voltage is applied at all times to the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Module. At dusk, the photoresistor senses the absence of light and closes a switch in the module. This applies voltage to the Dimmer Switch, turning on the Instrument Panel Lights.
