Axle Shaft Assembly: Description and Operation

The rear suspension consists of a rear axle assembly, control arms, coil springs, shock absorbers, track bar and a track bar brace. The rear axle is trailing arm type design. A non-serviceable stabilizer bar is welded to the inside of the axle housing and is an integral part of the axle assembly. A single unit hub and bearing assembly is bolted to each end of the axle assembly. The hub and bearing assembly is a sealed unit and must be replaced as an assembly.
