Assemble

1. If necessary, replace check ball capsule with 1/4 inch pin punch.

2. Install center seal with lip facing away from capsule.

3. Install inner and outer seal with lips facing capsule.

4. Assemble piston (615) apply ring and release spring assembly (616) and snap ring (617).

5. Lubricate composition plates (618) with Dexron II.




6. Alternate steel and composition plates (618), refer to figure for clutch plate and apply ring usage.

7. Install backing plate (619) with chamfered or highly polished side against composition plate.

8. Install final snap ring (617).
