Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights, Standard

1. If the Turn Lights do not work, check Turn Fuse.
2. If the Hazard Lights do not work, check HZD Fuse.
3. If one of the Turn Indicators goes on when the Park Lights are turned "ON," check the Front Park/Turn Light on that side for open or poor connection.
4. If Turn Lights stay on (do not flash) in both Turn Left and Turn Right, replace the Turn Flasher.
5. For any of the following symptoms replace the Turn/Hazard Switch Assembly:

^ Turn Signal Switch will not turn "ON"/"OFF."
^ All Turn/Hazard/Stop Lights do not work and C202 is firmly mated.
^ Some Turn Lights work and all Hazard Lights work.
^ Some Hazard Lights work and all Turn Lights work.
^ Hazard Lights do not turn "OFF."

6. If Hazard Lights stay on (do not flash) with Hazard Switch "ON," but Stop Lights operate normally, replace the Hazard Flasher.
7. If Stop Lights do not turn "OFF," adjust/replace the Brake Switch.
8. If a Turn Indicator does not light but the Turn Signal works, check the bulb, connection and wiring to the Indicator.
9. If only one light does not operate, check the Lamp, Socket and related wiring for opens or corrosion (see schematic).
10. If one Front Park and/or Marker Light does not light, check that its ground is clean and tight.
11. If none of the Park/Tail Lights work, check Tail Fuse.
12. If Park Lights do not turn "OFF," check Headlight Switch. If OK, repair CKT 9 for a short to B+.
13. If one rear light is inoperative, check for open in CKT 150 between S402 and lamp socket. Check for open in CKT 9 between S400 and inoperative lamp.

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check.
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
