Install Transaxle Case Side Cover

Case Side Cover, Oil Pump, And Control Valve Body.:

CLEAN AND INSPECT:
^ Case and side cover gasket surfaces.



INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Case side cover and pan.
2. Bolts/screws and nuts.
3. Tighten bolts/screws to 11 Nm (97 in lb) and nuts to 8 Nm (71 in lb).
4. Transaxle mount bracket.
5. Left drive axle.
6. Wiring harness.
7. Left side steering rack bolt/screw.
8. Frame to body bolts/screws. Torque to 47 Nm (35 ft lb).
9. Remove support from from frame.
10. Ball joints at steering knuckle.

CAUTION: When installing the intermediate shaft make sure the shaft is seated prior to pinch bolt installation. If the pinch bolt is inserted into the coupling before shaft installation, the two mating shafts may disengage.

11. Pinch bolt at intermediate steering shaft.
12. Engine mount nuts at frame.
13. Transaxle mount.
14. Left inner fender splash shield.
15. Left front wheel.
16. Lower vehicle.
17. Bolt/screw at top of transaxle mount bracket. Tighten to 102 Nm (75 ft lb).
18. Remove J-28467-A, J-28467-90, and J-36462.
19. Shift cable clip at lever and mount bracket.
20. Crossover pipe.
21. Air cleaner assembly.
22. Negative battery cable.
23. Refill transaxle fluid to proper level.
