Bosch Charging System

Bosch generators are similar in output to Delco-Remy generators. They share a common mounting configuration and both use internal voltage regulators. The Bosch generator uses a single blade harness connector and does not require periodic maintainance.
Some models are equipped with a Generator Inverting Buffer (GIB) Module. The GIB module is located near the fuse box below the drivers side instrument panel housed in a aqua green box. The GIB module is connected in parallel to the charge indicator lamp. The basic purpose of the GIB module is to defeat the operation of the air conditioning and the rear window defogger if generator output drops below a certain level.
