Service Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Locate fuel pump wiring harness part number label forward of fuel tank to determine vehicle involvement. Date code identification is located next to the bar code on the right hand side of the label.





^ If the label has a date code of 3003-## (see the figure) the fuel pump requires replacement. Follow procedures in Section 6C, Engine Fuel of the 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera service manual.

^ If the fuel pump has a date different than 3003-##, the fuel pump does not require replacement.

3. Install campaign identification label.

CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL
Each label provides space to print the campaign number, and the five (5) digit retailer code of the retailer performing the campaign. Insert this information with a typewriter or ball-point pen. When installing label, clean and dry the surface of the radiator support tie bar and apply the campaign label where it is readily visible.

Each "Campaign Identification Label" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is brought in for periodic servicing by the owner. Apply the "Campaign Identification Label" on a clean, dry surface.
