Troubleshooting Hints - Lumbar Seats

Important: To avoid misdiagnosis, inspect pneumatic lines for pinched, broken or disconnected conditions which would result in system failure.

1. If none of the Lumbar Seat functions operate, check the C/LTR Fuse and the PWR ACC circuit breaker.

2. Check that the connectors to the LH and RH Seat Solenoid Valve Assemblies are mated correctly.

3. If the C/LTR Fuse blows when a particular function is selected, check for a shorted diode in the associated seat solenoid valve assembly.

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).

^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
