Water Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 21 Water Pump Assembly:

1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
4. Remove serpentine drive belt as outlined under Serpentine Drive Belt. Refer to Drive Belts,Mounts,Brackets and Accessories.
5. Remove water pump pulley.
6. Remove water pump bolts then the water pump and gasket, Fig. 21 .
7. Reverse procedure to install.
