Enabling the SIR System

IMPORTANT:
^ With the "ARBG1" fuse removed and ignition switch "ON," the "Inflatable Restraint" warning lamp will be "ON." This is normal operation and does not indicate a SIR system malfunction.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
^ Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" and remove key.

1. Yellow 2-way connector and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) at the base of the steering column.
2. Lower trim panel.
3. "ARBG1" fuse to I/P fuse block.

^ Turn ignition switch to "RUN" and verify that the "Inflatable Restraint" warning lamp flashes seven times and then turns "OFF." If it does not operate as described, perform the "SIR Diagnostic System Check." Testing and Inspection
