Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights

TRY FOLLOWING CHECKS BEFORE DOING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:
1. If Turn Lamps and Cornering Lamps don't work, check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 1B.
2. If Stoplamps and Hazard Lamps don't work, check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 6B.
3. If one of the Turn Indicators goes "ON" when the Park Lamps are turned "ON", check Front Park/Turn Lamp on that side.
4. For any of the following symptoms, replace the Turn/ Hazard Switch.
^ Some Turn Lamps work and all Hazard Lamps work.
^ Some Hazard Lamps work and all Turn Lamps work.
^ Hazard Lamps do not turn "OFF".
5. If Turn Indicator and Front Park/Turn Lamp on one side are inoperative, check in-line Connector C202 (terminal A8) for proper terminal contact. Replace Turn/Hazard Switch is necessary.
6. If Turn Lamps stay "ON" (do not flash) in both left turn and right turn, replace Turn Flasher.
7. If Hazard Lamps stay "ON" (do not flash) in HAZARD, replace Hazard Flasher.
8. If a Turn Indicator does not light, but turn signals work, check bulb, connections, and wiring to indicator.
9. If Park, Side Marker, and Tail Lamps do not work, check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 6C, ORN (240) and BRN (9) wiring and Head/Park Lamp Switch for an open.
10. If only one light does not operate, check bulb, socket, and related wiring (see schematic).
11. If Stoplamps do not turn "OFF", adjust or replace Cruise/Shift Interlock/Brake Switch as necessary.
12. If HI Level Stoplamp does not work, check bulb, WHT (17), LT BLU/BLK (1053) and BLK (1350) wiring for an open. Repair or replace as necessary. If equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) and wiring if OK, replace Adaptive Lamp Monitor Module.
13. If no rear lamps work (except HI Level Stoplamp), check that ground G402 is clean and tight.
