Upshifts & Torque Converter Clutch Apply Check

1. Place gear selector in Overdrive position.

2. Accelerate using a steady increasing throttle pressure.

3. Note upshift speeds for second, third and overdrive gears.

4. Note shift point speed for TCC apply. This should occur in third or Overdrive. TCC will not engage if engine coolant has not reached 130°F.
